++ Tomar & the FCs
Tomar Williams got his start singing lead and playing various instruments on the Chitlin Circuit with his family band as a youngster. Starting in the late 90’s, Tomar and his brother, Salih, formed the production team “Carnival Beats”. They went on to produced iconic Hip-Hop tracks for Big Mo, Mike Jones, and Paul Wall. Tomar also played keys in and helped lead the Black Ties, the backing band for Texas soul singer Latasha Lee.
In 2015, Tomar returned to his roots as a frontman when Tomar and the FCs debuted during SXSW of 2015. In October of 2015, the band self recorded and released their first EP, “Day by Day”. Deborah Sengupta Stith of the Austin American Statesman selected it as one of her top releases of the year writing, “Williams shows his own soul chops with searing vocals that drip with blood, sweat and tears”.
The band opened 2016 with a NYE show at the historic Austin Continental Club. They were selected to play an official showcase at SXSW in March. In June, NPR Music picked Tomar and the FCs out of hundreds of Austin entries to represent the city for their Tiny Desk Concert series. Later in the year the band released two singles, “Heart Attack” and “Do You Feel It” off their forthcoming LP and filmed a video for “Heart Attack”.
“Heart Attack”, the band’s debut album, was released in November of 2016. It was recorded and mixed at Level One studio with Grammy winning artist/engineer Adrian Quesada (Brownout, Grupo Fantasma, and Echocentrics). Sam Harrell of KUTX wrote that the album is, “Pure soul, pure energy…Heart Attack, the single from the band’s latest album of the same name, is an electric three minute ride of some of the purest blues/soul we’ve heard lately.”
In December, the band was invited to play a live session before a studio audience for the KUTX After Hours series. The KUTX event included two songs and an interview broadcast live on air, eight songs on KUTX.org, and a video of the single “Do You Feel It” on vuhaus.com. Tomar and the FCs will headline the NYE show at Austin’s historic Continental Club on a bill with fellow up and comers Jai Malano and Los Coast.
In January of 2017, the band will give an in store performance at iconic Austin record store, Waterloo Records. The Vinyl release of “Heart Attack” is slated for late February.

++ Cooper Wade
Cooper Wade has grown up with music since he was born. Both his parents sing and played instruments, so it was fitting Cooper took right to it also. He started playing the piano at age 7, drums/percussion at age 12 and self-taught guitar starting in high school. He received a percussion scholarship to college where he earned a BM in percussion performance with a minor in piano and voice. He has enjoyed being on stage since he was a kid and the stage jitters don’t bother him at all.

++ Terry Cavanagh is a Texas boy. He began playing society music and ethnic music in Houston professionally at the age of 16. His professional credits include:
Terry is known for his all-terrain performance style in the world-music scene. A lot of fans are familiar with Terry through his work with the Alpine Express band. “This band is all about pure, unadulterated, fun. People forget their troubles for an evening, let go, and get caught up in the spirit of good fellowship, music, and ridiculous fun,” comments Terry.
Guenter Dirks, owner of the Friesenhaus (Terry’s home base when he’s not playing an event) thinks Terry has a unique skill. “He knows how to read an audience and then give them what they want and more. It’s amazing what he can do with a crowd.”
Many fans also appreciate Terry for his sense of musicality and passionate style. “The addition of Terry’s music will begin a new tradition with opera in San Antonio. Terry has such great musical taste. He is one of my favorite musicians”, says Mark Richter, General Director of the San Antonio Lyric Opera.
Terry explains, “Although I know I’m bringing people a great gift when I am helping them loosen up and party, I especially enjoy just playing great music in a great environment. It’s magical and transforming for me and people in the audience. All of a sudden, the mind begins to calm down and wander to distant shores. Life takes on more zest, passion, and charm. I love that!”
Terry lives in New Braunfels, Texas where he performs regularly throughout the year. In addition to his performance career, Terry is also a professional life coach, as well as a performance coach or musicians.
